Original artwork is shipped internationally via whichever means are most appropriate to the specific work of art and its destination. <br> <br> Prints are shipped within the USA and internationally via Priority or First Class Mail. Coloring books are shipped within the USA via Media Mail. I do not insure shipments of prints or coloring books. <br> <br> Allow 3-6 weeks for delivery for orders of prints shipped within the USA. To the best of my knowledge, the materials used in the creation of my original drawings are permanent, lightfast and acid-free. <br> <br> My usual materials include Bristol board, handmade cotton paper, calfskin vellum, goatskin parchment, <i>washi</i> made from kozo or gampi, pigment-based calligraphy ink, sumi ink, technical pens, pencils, 23k gold leaf, palladium leaf, acrylic gesso, Instacoll gilding size and gum ammoniac.</span> <br> <br> <hr> <br> <center> <span class="style2"> <a name="MATERIALS LETTERPRESS">NOTES on MATERIALS: MILLEFLEUR PRESS ITEMS</a></span></center> <br> <br> <span class="style3">The broadsides and fine press books issued by Millefleur Press are printed with vegetable oil (linseed, corn or soy) based inks on acid-free papers. The specific inks and papers used are noted on the <a href="http://danielmitsui.tripod.com/00_pages/millefleur.html" target="_blank">Millefleur Press</a> web page.</span> <br> <br> <hr> <br><center> <span class="style2"> <a name="MATERIALS BOOKPLATES">NOTES on MATERIALS: BOOKPLATES</a></span></center> <br> <br> <span class="style3">The universal bookplates issued by Millefleur Press and the custom letterpress bookplates that I sell are printed with vegetable oil (linseed, corn or soy) based inks on acid-free papers. They do not have adhesive backing. To paste them into books, I recommend using an acid-free glue that dries flexible (such as bookbinders&rsquo; PVA). <br><br> To the best of my knowledge, none of the materials used are likely to damage books into which the bookplates are pasted. However, I am not liable for any damage to books that results from putting bookplates in them. </span> <br> <br> <hr> <br> <center> <span class="style2"> <a name="MATERIALS GICLEE">NOTES on MATERIALS: GICL&Eacute;E PRINTS</a></span></center> <br> <br> <span class="style3">Gicl&eacute;e prints are made on a spray-jet printer from a high-resolution digital scan or photograph. They are printed on acid-free paper (usually Hahnemühle Photorag 308, Hahnemühle German Etching 310 or Lexjet Archival Matte) with Epson Ultrachrome pigmented inks that have been rated for lightfastness to approximately 80 years under good conditions. <br> <br> Please note that some original drawings were made on goatskin parchment or calfskin vellum, which are not perfectly white, flat or homogenous. Natural variations in the color and thickness of the goatskin or calfskin show up in the gicl&eacute;e prints, especially in the outer borders. These are not smudges or printing errors, but part of the artwork itself. </span> <br> <br> <hr> <br> <center> <span class="style2"> <a name="SIGNATURES">NOTES on SIGNATURES & EDITIONS</a></span></center> <br> <br> <span class="style3">I no longer issue numbered, limited-edition prints. Each open-edition letterpress broadside bears either a printed DM monogram on the front or a DM monogram written in pencil on the back. Each open-edition gicl&eacute;e print bears a DM monogram written in pencil on the back.
